There's so much that goes into pricing the things I make. The materials I use to make the projects has a lot to do with it. I don't like making things out of the cheap soft woods, although I do from time to time depending on the project needs. I enjoy working with unique woods and wood that has a story. If I can get old barn wood (beams, siding, etc.), I will, if I can't, I've learned techniques that can give my projects that rustic look.
I won't always be the cheapest craftsman to do the work. But, I try to make all my projects cost effective for my clients while delivering quality and satisfaction.
